UK uses 8 million natural Christmas trees each year and about 7 million of them are discarded once the festive season ends. Emission of greenhouse gases produced once those trees end up in landfills reaches 100 000 tons.  Human approach to Christmas trees seems to be very peculiar; the tree that is once celebrated and unites people, reminding them of the strong connections they have with their relatives, is then dumped along with a wrapping paper, cards and the rest of ‘trash’ when Christmas is over.

The project exposes the journey of Xmas trees in four parts; it serves as a silent comment to our selfish relation with the environment and our human complex nature that turns an object of the cult into trash.
